It's very clearly inspired by the work of Ed McMillen, especially The Binding of Isaac. What this basically means is that he can eat different foods and turn them into unit types which have their own specific skills. Poopdie isn't particularly skilled in close-quarters combat, and so he relies on his incredible "poopcrafting" skills in order to survive. They suffer from a dreadful affliction: they are entirely unable to fart or defecate, and this seems to be the source of their misplaced anger.įor reasons unbeknownst to Poopdie, he is one of the few still capable of both pooping and farting, and so he heads out on an adventure to uncover the truth and maybe some sort of cure.
You play as Poopdie, a weird worm-like creature who often finds himself the victim of his neighbours' aggression. The game, which features voicework from YouTuber PewDiePie, is set in a world of sentient bums and bugs. In a blog post released earlier today, developer Bulbware announced that Poopdie, its gross-out dungeon crawler, has finally been greenlit by Apple and launched onto the App Store as a free-to-play title.
